Event description
Learn a unique approach to content creation that will help you build relationships, broaden your reach, and boost your revenue.

About this Event

Storytelling is the oldest and most powerful form of human communication. It is also an essential 21st-century business skill.

In today’s digital economy, content drives commerce. People don't buy the best product or service. They buy the one that comes wrapped in the best story.

A well-crafted story, delivered in a compelling way, will help you stand out from the competition, boost your word-of-mouth marketing, attract better clients and customers, and accelerate the growth of your business.

This workshop will teach you a unique approach to content creation—personal storytelling on LinkedIn—so you can build relationships, broaden your reach, and boost your revenue.

In this practical and interactive session, you will learn:

  • why informal, story-driven content is more engaging—and more effective—than automated, spammy “lead gen” techniques on LinkedIn
  • a simple method to determine the story topics that will appeal to your specific audience. (Most people struggle with knowing what stories to create, but this matrix makes it easy.)
  • how to use personal anecdotes in a professional context to captivate your ideal audience and help you connect with them on a deep level so they trust you and want to do business with you.

You will walk out of this workshop with an action plan for the next 10-15 pieces of story-driven content you can create and share on LinkedIn to stand out from the competition and be memorable in a noisy world.

SPEAKER:

Dr. Adrian McIntyre is a cultural anthropologist, media personality, and internationally recognized authority on effective communication. Adrian has lived and worked in over 30 countries, delivered over 1500 stage presentations, given hundreds of TV and radio interviews, and written two speeches that were presented to members of the UN Security Council. His on-air experience began at the age of five as a co-host of "The Happy Day Express," the longest-running children's radio program in California history.

Adrian earned a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a Fulbright scholar and National Science Foundation research fellow. He spent nearly a decade in the Middle East and Africa as a researcher, journalist, communication strategist, and media spokesperson for two of the largest humanitarian relief agencies in the world. His hundreds of media appearances have reached millions of people via major news outlets such as the BBC, CNN, National Public Radio, Fox News Online, and the New York Times, as well as regional newspapers and radio stations throughout North America and Europe.

Today he advises and trains entrepreneurs, executives, and corporate teams on high-performance communication, the power of storytelling, and how to leverage digital media to build a personal leadership brand.
