This 5-hour hands-on workshop is designed to help you set up and manage your business finances with confidence. In this interactive session, you’ll choose between a customized spreadsheet template or a free QuickBooks trial account to organize your books. Learn how to handle initial setup, day-to-day transaction management, and lay the foundation for key financial reports like profit and loss statements, and balance sheets. Perfect for small business owners looking to streamline their bookkeeping process and gain a clear picture of their financial health. This workshop is eligible for the City of Austin Business Skills Certificate Program.

Participants will also get a free toolkit – a collection of templates, forms, worksheets, software and other helpful resources to help make good use of the information shared in class.

This class is best for live, in-person particiaption at the city's Small Business Training Room for networking and interaction with the instructor and others in the class. We have included the option for a Virtual Accommodation for those unable to attend in person.

Earn A Business Skills Certificate
This workshop is eligible for the City of Austin Business Skills Certificate program. Participants who complete six eligible courses in the program are recognized in a public awards ceremony with other local business and community leaders.
