About this event

No matter what type of community you serve or what position you hold at your library, chances are you will at some point write a grant. And, the thought probably sends a shiver down your spine, right? It doesn’t have to!

Whether you are applying to Target, the State Library, the Columbus Foundation, or one of the many other funding opportunities out there, the pieces of a proposal are almost always the same. During this relaxed, informal session, you will learn the elements of a proposal, what information to include in each element to enhance your chances of success, and hear real-world experiences of grant writers and reviewers.

Attendees to this session will have the opportunity to…

• Explore and understand common grant elements

• Discuss practical recommendations to increase chances of success

• Learn about resources to help you find funding opportunities

• Review deadlines and eligibility for State Library of Ohio grant programs
