Is there an entry fee?

Nope! Entry is completely free. Just bring your finest jazz hands (optional).

Do I need to be a professional singer?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. This night is all about giving it a go in a supportive atmosphere. Adam and Marie are there to help you along if needed.

Question 3

Does it have to be a musical theatre song?

Accepted Answer

Ideally, yes — this is a musical theatre night after all.
That said, if the hosts are in particularly good spirits (and a few gins deep), exceptions may occasionally appear.

Is there seating?

There is limited seating available. A small number of tables can be reserved in advance by contacting the venue directly. Otherwise, there’s plenty of standing room if you’re happy to perch cocktail-in-hand.

Can I chat with my friends during the performances?

Accepted Answer

Quiet whispers are fine, but we do ask everyone to be respectful while others are singing. Give performers the same attention you’d hope for yourself.

Is the venue accessible?

Unfortunately not — the venue is downstairs and only accessible via stairs.

So… is this a karaoke night?

Accepted Answer

Yes… but also not quite.
If you’d like to sing, simply write your song choice on a slip and hand it to our fabulous hosts, Marie La Rae, alongside vocalist and pianist Adam O’Shea. Names are picked throughout the evening, and Adam will accompany singers live on piano.
