It’s the triumphant return of Mailchimp’s employee reading series, Get Lit!

For this very special night, we’re heading to the Plaza Theatre with an exciting lineup of Mailchimp employees and friends. If unfamiliar with Get Lit, it was first launched back in 2017 and this will be our first reading since 2019. You can learn more here all about how Get Lit got started, and check out this profile by local NPR station WABE!

This installment of Get Lit will focus on the idea of home—specifically through the lens of ATL. Writer and friend of Mailchimp, Andisheh Nouraee, will be our host for the evening.

To kick off the readings, we'll have Mailchimp employee, Austin L. Ray, who curated the How I’d Fix Atlanta series. Austin is a writer from the marketing department, and he will read from his essay about wildflowers. ATL writer King Williams will read from his essay as well.

Headlining the evening is another writer from the marketing department, Troy Harris II. Troy will read from his new book of original short stories, Home Less in Dallas, along with special guest and contributor Blake Roberts.

All of our readers will be doing a live Q&A, and the first 150 people to arrive will get a free copy of How I’d Fix Atlanta’s Season One zine or Home Less in Dallas!
