Put your avalanche knowledge to the test and practice crucial skills before an emergency demands it.

Join us for an interactive avy awareness event with Golden Mountain Guides (GMG) and Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC). Get up-to-date insight on safely navigating Colorado’s snowpack from a CAIC forecaster. Participate in avalanche drills led by GMG guides, including identifying mystery items with a probe and a race to see who can deploy their shovel the fastest.A fundraiser for Friends of CAIC will run throughout the evening, supporting key efforts in avalanche awareness and education.Backcountry adventurers of all abilities are invited to join this event!———To request an accessibility accommodation, please contact the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC) at 303-499-9650 or CAIC@state.co.us at least two weeks in advance of the event.
