Join us for a lunchtime discussion about GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and geospatial inquiry. Topics include research, instruction, upcoming events, learning opportunities, and practical applications. A brief presentation is often included.

UCR affiliates from all disciplines and departments, at all skill levels, are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Zoom information will be emailed to registered participants before the meetup begins.

All participants are expected to follow and uphold UC Riverside's Principles of Community.

Presenters/topics:

  • April 15: GIS Career Panel - A panel of three GIS professionals will share about their path to a career in GIS, their current roles, and their observations for job seekers. Q&A will follow. Links related to searching for jobs in GIS will be provided.
  • May 13: From prairie to crop: Spatiotemporal dynamics of surface organic carbon stocks
