The Georgetown Business Improvement District (BID)is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the accessibility, attractiveness and overall appeal of Georgetown. Established in 1999 by its property owners and merchants, the Georgetown BID has more than 1,000 members. The organization is located in the heart of Georgetown in Washington, D.C. and sets a standard of excellence in preserving historic charm while meeting contemporary needs. Join the Georgetown Business Improvement District for a morning of history and horticulture!

Francis Scott Key Memorial

Join us for an early-afternoon horticultural tour of Georgetown, led by Georgetown BID Public Space Manager and Certified Arborist, Matt Millage. T﻿his 1-hour tour will visit stops in 3 garden areas of Georgetown, where our guide will discuss the horticultural history of Georgetown. Learn more about the plants and trees that make Georgetown beautiful! T﻿he tour spans just over 1 mile of walking, and will include small to moderate hills in the neighborhood. Please wear comfortable shoes.T﻿his event is weather permitting, with a rain date of Sunday, March 26th. You will be notified via email if the event is moved to Sunday.
