The American Geographical Society is making a proud return to the headquarters of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency for a one-day mini-symposium.Registration for this year&#x27;s event at NGA is closed due to security protocols. Thank you for you interest in joining us. Be sure to look to <a href="https://www.geography2050.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">geography2050.org</a> for news about our Fall Symposium and for updates about the next mini-symposium at NGA in early March, 2023. OK.This year&#x27;s event will feature presentations and discussions on:<ul><li>Climate Change</li><li>The Arctic</li><li>Food, Water, &amp; Equity</li><li>The 100th Anniversary of the Office of the Geographer of the United States</li></ul><a href="https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5f34538dfe855b5071e46678/t/62cdac4744fe065adc180ffc/1657646152545/GEO2050+DC++July+%2722+Program.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL PROGRAM!</a>IMPORTANT: Non-US citizens wishing to attend the event must register no later than Sunday, June 12. Registration for US citizens will close Sunday, July 10.Please note the following COVID-19 protocols:<ul><li>Official onsite visitors must complete a <a href="https://www.esd.whs.mil/Portals/54/Documents/DD/forms/dd/dd3150.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">DD Form 3150</a>, “Contractor and Visitor Certification of Vaccination,&quot; and show it to authorized DoD personnel, upon request. Failure to complete the DD Form 3150 may result in denial of an official onsite visitor’s access to NGA facilities. Attendees who do not have a DoD number do not need to fill in Line 2 of the DD Form 3150.</li><li>The current COVID status for the Conference Center is based on the CDC Transmission rate being LOW with no mask required and no testing for unvaccinated persons. Attestation form (above) is still required for visitors. This is subject to review and change weekly if needed. 6 ft social distancing is still required at NGA. </li></ul>The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s involvement in the Geography 2050: DC Symposium does not imply endorsement of AGS or any AGS events by the United States Government.
