Event Details

Generation WORKS is a dedicated day of service led by women and girls (of course men and boys are welcome too!) with the objective of bringing sustainable change and impact to our neighborhoods.

Volunteers will wire, weld, wash, and work their magic to transform our city for the greater good.

Below are the agencies and projects that you have the option to participate in. You will have the opportunity to choose from the below projects once you enter the registration site. Each project has a limited amount of volunteers it is able to accommodate. We are proud to be working with the following agencies on these projects to improve the lives of those they serve, as well as your own. Please be advised that projects may be subject to change.

  • The Children's Home Society of Florida - (3027 San Diego Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32207): The Children’s Home Society of Florida serves families through many different life enhancing services. Let’s aid them in serving those families by helping provide a beautiful, clean, organized environment. A morning of property maintenance should do the trick.
  • Friends of Hemming Park - (135 W. Monroe St., Jacksonville, FL 32202):Be a friend of Hemming Park by investing a few hours to landscape, weed and spruce up a place where we meet, enjoy, and celebrate our city's resources.
  • Habijax - (New Town Area, Jacksonville FL):**Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older**  HabiJax is a multifaceted organization with many roles: builder, community developer, and so much more. Try your building skills at one of our jobsites where you will lend a hand in painting, landscaping and/or installing vinyl siding on a home for one of your fellow Jacksonville residents.
  • Hubbard House - (TBD): The mission of Hubbard House is safety, empowerment, and social change for victims of domestic violence and their families. Let’s assist this great organization with some office tasks such as putting together informational packets as well as creating an inviting, safe environment-both inside and out. We are also getting crafty by helping paint & create posters.
  • Sulzbacher Center - (611 East Adams St, Jacksonville, FL 32202)In one day at the Sulzbacher Center families are provided with shelter, food, healthcare, and more. You can be a part of this in one morning by freshening up the family dorms with a new splash of color.
  • Rethreaded - (820 Barnett St, Jacksonville, FL 32209)Help Rethreaded restore choice for survivors of human trafficking through business by preparing for their annual gala, giving their warehouse a facelift and making some seats that were donated to this great case look brand new.
  • Feeding Northeast Florida - (1116 Edgewood Ave N, Jacksonville, FL 32254): **Recommended Project for WOW Mentors & Mentees** Feeding Northeast Florida feeds local children, families, seniors and veterans. You can help “feed” their case by organizing and sorting all the wonderful donations that have been brought in for those in need.
  • Mission House - (800 Shetter Ave, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250): Providing food, clothing & support to those in need is what the Mission House does everyday. We can make this already great place a little brighter by sprucing up the exterior of the building.
  • Atlantic Beach - (Between 18th & 19th St, Atlantic Beach, FL 32233): Atlantic Beach is a city of small town charm and unique history. Let's pitch in to keep the charm alive with a day of beachside clean up.

Let’s make sure these students have a clean, beautiful campus to prepare for their success.
  • The Boys & Girls Club of Saint Augustine – (555 West King St, St. Augustine, FL 32084) – The club provides a safe, affordable & fun place for children to go after school. Volunteers will help brighten & spruce up the club for the kiddos to enjoy.
