General Defense Handgun

Based off the Bulwarks Foundations of the Self Defense Handgun and Tactics of the Self-Defense Handgun, this course covers what is needed to win a fight with your handgun should the need arise. The class will take the student through a journey of pistolcraft and teach them how to teach themselves. Topics covered will include things such as Mindset, Presentation, Reloads, Malfunctions, Use of Cover, and much more.

Whether you are a new student or seasoned student, this class is right for you.

Low Light Applications/Night-Fire (Pistol Only)

This course concentrates on using a firearm in a low-light setting and using a handheld flashlight or a firearm mounted flashlight. Many lethal encounters happen in a low-light setting, or in near-complete darkness. Deploying a handheld or firearm mounted light quickly and efficiently is imperative to survival of a lethal encounter. This course follows up on the foundations of using flashlights in other courses.

You will need to bring the following:

A firearm in good working order (preferable 9mm or above, but not mandatory)

450 rounds of ammunition. Factory ammo is preferred. If you bring reloads, they need to be approved before the class.

A good holster. You may appendix carry if it’s done safely. Leather or Kydex. We don’t allow any one size fits all type holsters. You must be able to draw your pistol is a safe manner from your holster. (if you have questions about gear, please contact us)

Three magazine or speed loaders for revolvers. More is always better

Double mag pouch or two singles

Any snacks or drinks you will want for the day. We will break for lunch, but it will be on the range.

You may also want to bring knee pads and a lawn chair.

Please note - In addition to tuition, all students will be responsible for a $30 range fee, payable to Red Hill Range on Day 1 of the course.

Must be 21 years old, able to own a firearm, or if under 21 must attend with a parent or legal guardian.
