DiverseWorksis a non-profit, multidisciplinary arts organization whose mission is to commission, produce, and present new and daring art in all its forms through innovative collaborations that honor each artist’s vision without constraint. Founded by artists in 1982, DiverseWorks is nationally known for its groundbreaking artistic programming, meaningful engagement with communities, and advancement of progressive art and ideas in Houston and the nation.

Join DiverseWorks for GENDERBUFFET - a community gathering, brunch, and think-tank. Attendees are invited to reflect on the intersection of gender and queer discourse, issues of performance and performing gender, and their own lived experiences.
Admission is free; seating is limited. Advance registration required.
GENDERBUFFET is presented in conjunction with DiverseWorks' upcoming event, <A HREF="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bayou-city-be-all-tickets-74189718445" TARGET="_blank">Bayou City Be All</A>, an evening of performance, fashion, and music beyond the gender binary. Bayou City Be All is a community-driven project that celebrates queer and gender non-conforming traditions across Houston and beyond. 
Bayou City Be All features the works of six performance artists and two collectives: Black TM, Tania Breton, Junior Fernandez, iPOCA Collective, Jazmin Jett, Angel Lartigue, Isaac Reyes, and Y2K, selected from an open call. <A HREF="https://soundcloud.com/hyperfemme" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">DJ HYPERFEMME</A> is providing live beats and guest emcee <A HREF="https://bamesofficial.com/album/1077861/bma" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">B. AMES</A> will keep the energy high and the evening moving. PLUS there will be a special performance by members of the International Iconic House of Revlon, and themed runway walks open to audience participation.

Bayou City Be All is organized by DiverseWorks Curator Ashley DeHoyos and an Advisory Committee which includes artists and cultural producers from Houston's LGBTQIA+ community. 
Bayou City Be All Advisory Committee: Aveda Adera, Emilý Æyer, Ahmeir Gibson, Frank Hernandez, Koomah, Philip Karjeker, leo, Stephanie Saint Sanchez, and Donald Shorter.
