Does that make you act nervous and awkward?Let me help reduce your anxiety with advice. Does the explosion of discussion about gender in society have your head spinning? Do you feel like young people in your life are talking circles around you and you just wish someone would make it all make sense?Let me give you the tools to engage in the discussion.In this class, we will discuss: <ul><li>the basics of gender identity- what it is and what it isn't</li><li>using pronouns correctly and what to do when you mess up</li><li>define the growing vocabulary and how to keep pace with the changes</li><li>important do's and don't's that will prevent you from offending or making transgender folks uncomfortable</li></ul>This is a live, online class with time for Q&amp;A which is hosted by a transgender person who has been doing trainings in transgender cultural competency for 5 years. This is a safe place to not know so that you can show up for transgender folks in your family, school, religious, community, or workplace.
