Event description
This online conference will explore gender equality with a focus on gender stereotyping, gender-based bullying and gender-based violence.

About this Event

The online GEM conference aims to bring together academics, teachers, student teachers, postgraduate students, health professionals, policy-makers, NGOs, parents and the wider education community, to engage in dialogue about gender equality with a focus on gender stereotyping, gender-based bullying and gender-based violence (GBV). Our approach emphasises participation and the sharing of innovative ideas, pedagogies and experience.

The keynote speakers are Prof. Kathleen Lynch, Prof. Anne Looney, Prof. James O'Higgins-Norman and Mr. Peter Dankmeijer. The conference format includes keynote addresses followed by Q&As, parallel paper sessions, workshop presentations along with graphic harvesting and online social connection spaces to enable attendee dialogue throughout.

The Gender Equality Matters (GEM) Conference is a free conference to attend. It is funded by the Rights, Equality and Citizenship (REC) Programme of the European Union.
