Gather & Ground

Gather & Ground

Overview

An Outdoor-Based Support Group for Late-Diagnosed Women with ADHD

Gather & Ground is a therapeutic support group created specifically for late-diagnosed women with ADHD. Led by two occupational therapists who received thier own late-in-life diagnoses, each session unfolds in the outdoors, using nature as both backdrop and guide, as we explore what it means to understand your brain, your history, and yourself through a new and kinder lens.

Over six weeks, we move through the terrain of the ADHD experience together: the relief and grief of late diagnosis, the science of how your brain finds motivation, the emotional intensity that has followed you your whole life, and the parts of yourself you learned to hide. We make space for play, for honesty, for the inner child who never got an explanation and for the future self who finally has one.

Each week will involve:

  • Nature-based grounding exercises
  • A reflective question to ponder on your walk
  • Time for journaling
  • Faciliated group reflections
  • A practical skill to take into your week
