READ PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS, COPY CUT PATTERN PIECES
In the 3d class out of a series of 6 classes to make a simple top, we read and discuss the PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS and COPY and CUT the pattern pieces. Note the $60 cost includes us finishing copying/cutting the pattern pieces after class. Everyone will copy/cut some but the process is time-consuming and boring but needs to be completed before class 4.

Class size limited to 8 students
1. May 8 $40 - Pattern Reading & Select a Top Pattern
2. May 15 - $40 - Measure ourselves, order correct pattern size, fabric/notions;
3. May 22 $60 - Read pattern instructions, copy/cut pattern pieces;;
4. June 5 $50 - Cut pattern on muslin, sew mock-up;
5. June 12 $60 - Try on mock-up, mark, revise pattern. Cut fashion fabric.
6. June19 $30. - We sew.

What are the other classes in the Making a Top Series?

Can I bring in my sewing machine?

Yes, for classes in which we sew, you may bring them in. It is ENCOURAGED. Please send us the Make/Model/Name/Number of your machine at least a week before class so we can download a manual.

Do I need to attend all classes in the Series?

No. 1st class is an overview class, you can start w/2d class.. If miss 2d class, you can take 3d class BUT must come in before class to be measured and order your pattern and fabric/notions plus pay an additional $50 fee. The last 3 classes are closed to new students.

What are the other classes in the Garment-Making Series?

Next Series will be as follows: Simple Elastic Waist Band Shorts/Pants; then Simple Skirt; Simple Dress. After that the Series 1 classes will begin again and concurrently advanced Series 2 will start with more complex Button-Up Shirt; Fitted Pants; Floor length Skirt; more complex dress.
