Garden Gateway Workshop
Join us at the Garden Gateway Workshop for a hands-on experience in creating your own beautiful garden oasis!
Welcome to the Garden Gateway Workshop!
This month’s gathering focuses on deepening our connection to the fall garden while preparing for the colder months ahead. Together, we’ll continue cultivating knowledge, sharing food, and strengthening community through hands-on learning.
Gardening Topic – Beating the Heat: Water Conservation & Shade Structures
The session will cover water conservation strategies that can be used in home gardens, raised beds, and containers, along with simple shade structures to shield crops from intense sun and heat stress. This workshop emphasizes low-cost, adaptable approaches that help gardens remain productive while using water more efficiently.
Nutritional Topic – Zucchini Multiple Ways: Getting Ready to Use All That Summer Zucchini
The nutritional will feature zucchini in multiple ways, focusing on practical and creative methods for using the abundance of summer zucchini. Participants will explore different ways to prepare zucchini so it can be used across meals, whether raw, cooked, blended, or incorporated into simple everyday dishes.
In order to help us better prepare for accurate numbers of attendees we are asking for a small deposit ($7) to register for the workshop. Once you attend, you will receive a voucher to spend the deposit at the Village Market Place. If the deposit is prohibitive, you may request a waiver by emailing csu@csuinc.org. Please note: waiver recipients who are no-shows the day of the workshop will not be eligible to receive a waiver for future workshops.
- Vouchers are redeemable at any time before the final workshop in June 2026.
- They can be used separately, or together.
- Vouchers cannot be replaced.
