From Zero-to-Hero class

• Target audience: This Course is open to teachers (Pre-school, Primary-school, Middle-School), artists, designers, advertising agency, event organiser.

• Prerequisites: All participants should know the basic competency in computing.

Objectives

• As the game is created in iterations, participants will learn and apply a range of techniques. Best practices for each process will be introduced and applied throughout.

• By the end of the course, participants will have a working game examples built by the participant that can be used as a starting point for their own projects.

Coach

• Havene Liew,
  Havene is the founder of XR Associates - A technology advisory firm. Actively sharing his knowledge and pushing the local game & XR industry to higher ground.
  He was the mastermind behind the mobile game developer Mediasoft since 2012. His multi-award-winning mobile games Badminton Jump Smash and Sepak Takraw Roll Spike recorded over 12 million installs from AppStore & Play Store. He built VR studio DJM who developed free-roam multiplayers VR experience since 2014.
  His VR games won the Champion of Alibaba’s CACSC 2016, Best Showcase of Unity's Unite Singapore 2017 and SIGGRAPH Asia Bangkok 2017. The VR games are currently available in 25 locations of 11 countries. Havene has been selected as Digerati50 2018 by Digital News Asia - The 50 CEOs who help to shape Malaysia's digital economy.

• This is an opportunity for you to meet and work with some of the best mentors in the game development scene to ensure you receive maximum value and benefit from this programme. As such, we’re open for any one who are passionate in game development scene.

• Get access to funding and business opportunities, talents must be certified by completing the GDA’s Talent Assessment Programme (TAP) & Game Accelerator Programme.

Other requirements:

• Malaysian/ Non-Malaysian able to commit for the entire 5 days of the programme.

• An individual who have basic computing concept with/without coding skill.

• Game development background is NOT required.

• Companies/schools/startups are encouraged to send your teams if you’re: Game dev studio, XR (AR/VR) studio, any corporate companies or schools (Kindergarten to University) with a product implemented Gamification Design.
