This talk will discuss how to create your own React components and will introduce the concept of the virtual DOM. We'll also cover core concepts like props and state.

Meet the Instructor:   Sean Helvey is an Associate Instructor at Galvanize Boulder. Sean started coding in quantitative finance classes at Cal Poly SLO and built option pricing models on Wall Street before completing a Master's Degree in Computer Science at NYU's Courant Institute.
Sean has over 5 years of experience as a software engineer. Most recently he developed machine learning systems at Pearson before finding his dream job at Galvanize. In his free time, Sean loves planning surf trips and functional programming.
