So often in life, we are faced with the idea of quitting or giving up. There’s many points where we don‘t know what the next step is. Keep it movin’ is our only option.
The show looks at the idea of movement visually and metaphorically. We see Jeff Rose paint the wings of angels in motion transition into the woven canvas of Apol. The ripples of water in Klebe’s work, flow into Jerome’s intense mark making. We attend birthday celebrations with Carlton and Klebes, referencing the passing of time and growth. We see the movement of money in Wagner’s collages next to Ruby and Danko’s use of repurposed materials from cars. We move from the light, playful aesthetic of Ammity Rose; to the darker perspective of Anderson-Evans.
