Sustainable Paths from Insects to Plant-Based

On Monday, May 25th at 6:00 PM, join us for the next event of the Open Polifactory series.

In this upcoming session, titled FUTURE PROTEINS - Sustainable Paths from Insects to Plant-Based, we will explore the evolving landscape of alternative protein sources and how technology, culture, and design are redefining the paradigms of sustainable food systems.

It will be an opportunity to engage with those leading this protein transition in Italy. We will dive into the world of insect-based innovation with Kinsect, a startup pioneering automation and tech solutions for industrial insect rearing, and Entonote (@entonote), a cultural project dedicated to dismantling taboos and exploring the gastronomic and educational potential of edible insects. Shifting the focus to plant-based evolution, we will welcome Planted Foods Italia (@eatplanted), known for creating clean-label, high-quality meat alternatives that are reshaping our nutritional habits.

The debate will bring together these diverse perspectives to analyze the technological, environmental, and cultural challenges of integrating alternative proteins into our daily lives.

The meeting will conclude with an open discussion session with the audience.
