CCA Berlin will host a matinee on December 9 by KEINE AGENTUR FUTURE LAB asking: WHAT CAN THE PRESENT DO?

We invite you to join us in a thought-provoking discussion with Aino Laberenz from Operndorf Afrika, Lutz Henke from Visit Berlin, Antonia Alampi from Spore Initiative, and Fabian Schöneich from CCA Berlin. Let's explore how existing initiatives in art and culture create desirable societal futures by operating in unconventional ways. It is here and now that the future is being shaped. So we are asking: What is the potential of the present? During the GATHERING, we will examine and discuss initiatives integrating art, culture, society, (and education) and embracing interdisciplinarity. Together, we will sketch answers to the following questions: In what ways can art and culture contribute to societal change beyond their immediate context? What impact can they have beyond the art system towards opening institutions and mindsets?

INITIATOR <a href="https://linktr.ee/keineagentur_futurelab" title="https://www.instagram.com/keineagentur_futurelab/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">KEINE AGENTUR FUTURE LAB</a> is a think tank and consultancy based in Basel, founded by Andrea Lucia Brun and Jenni Schmitt. Their work involves transforming companies, institutions, and also society on a broader scale. They are interested in how art and culture can contribute to a more socially just future and alternative visions. To pave the way for a better future, they initiate research projects at the intersection of art, culture, technology and society.

HOST <a href="https://cca.berlin/de/" title="https://cca.berlin/de/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CCA Berlin – Center for Contemporary Arts</a> is a new institution dedicated to supporting, producing, exhibiting, and furthering discourse on contemporary artistic practices. Based in Berlin, Germany, it is a space for education, dialogue and cultivating critical knowledge around art and culture. CCA Berlin’s mission is to reformulate the relevance of a non-profit center for contemporary arts and seeks to establish vibrant, transnational exchanges with stakeholders from the cultural, educational, and civic sectors. The institution also aims to bring together a multifaceted program highlighting process, experimentation, and collaboration, and is committed to engaging diverse publics.

The matinée is generously supported by the Mobiliar Jubilee Foundation.
