JUNE TOPIC: ONLINE DONOR EXPERIENCES

Online donor experiences are the sum total of all the touchpoints your donors have with your organization. More and more these interactions happen online. They include time spent on your website, your social media channels, and of course experiences with your online giving platforms. A positive online experience is part of what keeps a nonprofit relevant and resilient.

According to these Donorbox stats in 2020, online makes up13% of all charitable giving. In 2021, we saw that number increase by an additional 9%, which equates to a total increase of 42% over three years. In preperation for the Learning Circle be sure to check out this Funraise blog to hear their take on leveling up your orgs donor experiences. We will have all group discussions and dive into these questions in breakouts as well.

  1. What is a tip or a tool that’s helped your organization improve the online donor experience?
  2. Do you feel that automated processes improve donor relationships or do they risk reducing meaningful engagement with donors?
  3. 28% of online contributions are made from mobile devices. When did you last explore your website via a mobile device? Have you made an online donation by a mobile device lately?
  4. Are you using any social media platforms to raise funds for your organizations currently and are you having success?

Learning Circles are hosted bi-monthly and facilitated by LNA. They are designed to create opportunities for peer-to-peer learning centered around topics that are relevant to issues that matter most to nonprofit professionals. Along with hearing about a variety of approaches to the topics being discussed, you have a chance to connect in a real way with folks who are experiencing some of the same challenges as you. We believe Learning Circles can offer real-time support, resources, and connections among LNA members.
