About this event

Infuse your Saturday with a relaxing and rejuvenating sound journey!

We will begin the session with a gentle guided qigong meditation and breathwork for calming the nervous system, releasing anxiety, and grounding.

We will finish with a sonic meditation experience complete with crystal singing bowls, harp, vocals, and special instruments for altering the brain-wave state to enter deep relaxation.

ABOUT THE OFFERINGS:

Qigong is translated as “cultivation of vitality”. Soft and gentle movements help to reset and reprogram the nervous system, while visualizations help to expand and brighten the mind.

Sound is a powerful tool for relaxation.

You will be immersed in a "sonic bath" of healing frequencies. The sound bath will be a live performance featuring crystal Alchemy singing bowls, voice, harp, and chimes. These healing tones guide the body and mind into deep states of relaxation where physical, emotional and energetic healing can occur.

You will come away feeling grounded, centered, clear, and relaxed--ready for an amazing night’s sleep.

What to bring:

Yoga mat (blanket and pillow if you'd like) for the sound journey

Recommended: water bottle, journal and pen for self-reflection.

Wear comfortable, loose clothing for floor sitting/lying.

Benefits of Qigong & Sound baths:

*Activates the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest response)

* Reduces stress and anxiety

* Promotes quality sleep

* Balances the respiratory, digestive, endocrine, glandular and nervous systems

* Entrains brainwaves to Theta state for relaxation and opening creativity and intuition

* Increases vital energy flow throughout cells, skin, organs, bones

About the facilitators

About Khaki

Khaki Martin is a sound healer, reiki master, breathwork & meditation guide, and musician who guides ceremonies and meditative experiences to nourish the nervous system and create the space for the body to surrender to its quiet rhythms and intuitive needs. Her approach blends music, ancient traditions, neurobiology, breathwork, voice activation, and reiki energy to bring a harmonic coherence to your mind, body, and spirit.

A singer since childhood, Khaki had lost touch with her deep connection to music and sense of purpose as she grew into her twenties. In 2016 a life-altering reiki session during a rock bottom began a deep interest in the healing arts, and shifted the tides toward her calling as a sound healer.

Khaki’s laid the foundation for her powerful, nuanced, and expertly-woven sound journeys in Los Angeles, where she worked closely in mentorships with world-renowned sound healers and musicians including Nacho Arimany, Susy Markoe Schieffelin (The Copper Vessel), and Lynda Arnold (Divasonic).

Khaki’s sound ceremonies have been described as “transportive and expanding” and “a truly beautiful experience, one that made me feel free, playful, and untethered.” She has guided sonic experiences for institutions, brands, and festivals across the country, including Dartmouth Medical School, University of Miami Law School, Sakara Life, and Love.Shine.Play. Yoga Festival in Asheville, NC. She is currently the resident Sound Healer at Dose Yoga in North Hills, Raleigh.
