FRRC 2017 State Convening

FRRC is a grassroots, membership organization run by Returning Citizens (Formerly Convicted Persons) who are dedicated to ending the disenfranchisement and discrimination against people with convictions, and creating a more comprehensive and humane reentry system that will enhance successful reentry, reduce recidivism, and increase public safety.TheFloridaRightsRestorationCoalition is committed to removing Florida’s civil rights ban, which is imposed on citizens with past felony convictions.Florida is one of only three states that strip all individuals with past felony convictions of their civil rights, including their fundamental right to vote, even after completion of their sentences.

In person registration WILL be available for the State Convening starting Thursday, July 20th at 2pm - 6pm at the Rosen Centre registration desk 2.  Credit card payments or check will be accepted.  Thank you!
You do not need to bring a printed ticket.  Check-in will be by attendee name.

Join us for the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition 2017 State Convening at the Rosen Centre in Orlando, FL on July 20-22, 2017. 
At the Convening, FRRC members will experience interactive participation with the Ballot Initiative Expert Panel; hands-on messaging training that will enrich our Public Education Program; and relationship building and collaborative planning with other FRRC partners from your region. Additionally, all Convening participants will leave with tangible resources to help them achieve their volunteer goals, including messaging, phone banking, canvassing and petition collection toolkits.  
 Champions of Change Gala & Awards Ceremony
Another exciting event will be happening during Convening weekend.  We will be hosting our 1st Annual Champions of Change Gala & Awards Ceremony, honoring FRRC’s Social Justice Champions.  The Gala will be held on the evening of July 21st, and will be hosted by Ms. Vivica A. Fox!
