The Frontline Network for Blackpool, Wyre & Fylde are delighted to be partnering with Shelter Lancashire to provide this FREE training event for frontline workers in the region.


The session will focus on gaining an understanding of Homelessness & Housing rights, which is perfect for those new to the sector and also those wanting a refresher.


What this training covers

On the day the knowledgeable Shelter team will cover the following:

  • what duties a local authority might owe to a homeless applicant
  • the five tests of homelessness, including priority need and eligibility
  • when accommodation duties are triggered and what this means


Who this training is for

You don't need any prior knowledge of homelessness applications for this course.

You might be new to a role as an adviser or work for a local authority in housing or homelessness. This course is also suitable if you don't specialise in housing but need to know the basics. This is open to collegues from the statutory, public & third sector.

There will be breakfast pastries on arrival and refreshments throughout the morning. This is also a great opportunity to connect with other local partners and share expertise.
