Event description
From Thought to Page is a writing conference that aims to help both academic and popular level writers hone their skills.

About this Event

From Thought to Page is a writing conference open to men and women, both students and non-students, in our community. The conference aims to help all writers hone their skills and glorify God through their writing whether they are writing to an academic audience or a popular audience. We are excited to host Dr. Karen Swallow Prior as our keynote speaker. She will give two lectures entitled "Finding Your Voice in a World of Noise" and "Why the World Needs Your Story " respectively.

Also, we will host breakouts for both scholars and popular writers.

The Academic Track breakouts are:

  • Ben Merkle - How to Write with a View towards Publication
  • Ross Inman - The Moral Contours of the Intellectual Life

The Popular Track breakouts are:

  • Chris Thompson - The Business Side of Publishing: What Publishers Want Every Author to Know
  • Katherine James - From Dissertation to Memoir: The Art of the Narrative

This event is hosted by the Society for Women in Scholarship and the SEBTS Library.

Tickets are free, but please, RSVP by March 25!
