From Reads to Function
Hybrid Workshop on Metagenomics and the Fantastic Microbes Around Us
🎓 Eligibility
University students (PhD students are also eligible; however, priority is given to undergraduate and master’s students.);
commitment to attend the entire workshop;
basic knowledge of biology and microbiology.
Uncovering and understanding the fantastic microbes that surround us through metagenomic data analysis
Hands-on workshop led by the KBase team for university students introducing KBase (https://www.kbase.us/)for metagenomic analysis, from raw sequencing data to high-quality metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs). Participants will learn data QC, assembly, binning, functional and taxonomic annotation, and will interpret and present their results.
