Panelists:

Ana Correia (Post-doc ‘18), Scientist, Biologics Optimization

Ana Correia joined Amgen in 2018, she is as a scientist in the Biologics Optimization group, and has been focusing on the purification and the development of novel purification protocols aimed at improving and facilitating the purification of different and complex biologic molecules. Ana obtained her PhD in Biochemistry from ITQB/UNL in Lisbon, Portugal (2010). After two years of post-doc training in cryo-EM and RNA-Protein interactions at CNB-CSIC in Madrid, Spain, she joined Professor Andre Hoelz lab at Caltech, where she continued her post-doc training in structural biology and protein biochemistry.

Wei Li (BS ‘09), Manager, Commercial Data and Analytics

Wei Li is a Senior Manager in Commercial Data and Analytics (cDNA), forecasting assets in the early oncology portfolio covering both US and Global functions since July 2018.

Prior to joining Amgen, Wei worked at ZS Associates consulting since 2015 on a variety of sales and marketing projects for Amgen, including sales force sizing/targeting, qualitative market research, and forecasting across all business units. Before joining ZS, Wei received his PhD from UCLA in neuroscience and his B.S. from Caltech in Computation and Neural Systems.

Janet Chow (PhD ‘11), Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs

Janet is a senior manager at Amgen in global regulatory affairs with a primary focus in oncology. Janet joined Amgen in 2012 and has led several key interactions between Amgen and the FDA to support early and late stage development and post-marketing activities. Prior to joining Amgen, Janet was a product lead at a startup biotech company where she led nonclinical product development. Janet has a BS in Neuroscience from UCLA and a PhD in Biology from the California Institute of Technology.

Jennifer Mamrosh (Post-doc ‘17), Postdoctoral Fellow, Oncology Research

Jennifer received her Ph.D. in 2014 from Baylor College of Medicine, where she studied protein degradation defects in mouse models of liver disease. She then became a postdoctoral fellow in Ray Deshaies’ lab at Caltech. When Ray was hired as the Senior V.P. of Research at Amgen in 2017, Jennifer and four of her fellow Deshaies’ lab postdocs joined Amgen’s Postdoctoral Fellow Program. Jennifer continues to work on the research project she began while at Caltech, characterizing how protein degradation influences display of these degradation products at the cell surface as antigens. She is happy to share her experiences as an academic and industry postdoc.

Seth Lieblich (PhD ‘17), Manager, Business Development

Seth received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). Prior to joining Amgen’s Business Development group, Seth was a co-founder at Protomer Technologies and worked at ZS Associates. Seth joined Amgen’s Business Development group in 2018 and focuses on building and fostering partnerships between Amgen and external innovators.
