Frequency Fest comes back to Governors Island.

A full day in the sun for beats, bars and vocals. Producers and beatmakers spanning hip hop, soul, electronic and beyond. MCs on the mic. Singers in the mix. Every genre welcome, all of it live.

Grab a blanket, grab your crew, and post up with the skyline behind you. This is a picnic, a hang and a celebration all at once. We are also throwing it down for Fely Fabiola's birthday (Couples Therapy), so bring the love.

Ian (Cryptic One) is a hip-hop music producer, instrumentalist, and rapper with a deep passion for the art of beatmaking. His work focuses on highlighting instrumental producers as artists in their own right, without the need for vocalists to take center stage. Through his storytelling, he aims to bring awareness to the Brooklyn beat scene and provide audiences with a foundational understanding of what these producers do and why it is a unique art form. More than just showcasing the music, he seeks to tell the human stories behind the beats—exploring the motivations, inspirations, challenges, and creative journeys that drive producers to create and perform.

Bring your snacks & food, cocktails and that which makes you happy to lounge and groove. Food vendors nearby - Eritrean/Ethiopian, Jamaican, American, Korean, Beer Garden, and Pizza too! We’ll have a communal picnic blanket and plenty of chairs

If it’s rainy or damp we’ll move the groove into the house.
