Learn easy methods to draw expressive cursive lettering loaded with personality. All skill levels welcome. Includes a 38-page PDF guidebook!
Freestyle Script is a casual, hand-drawn style of cursive lettering that captures the freedom and spontaneity of handwriting. (Don't worry; you don't need good penmanship to draw it.) Loose, expressive, and packed with personality, Freestyle Script is an essential tool for lettering artists who want to create lively, inviting work. Use it to add warmth to headlines, create engaging logos, or give lettering pieces a playful, uniquely individual touch.
Although Freestyle Script looks like it’s made quickly and effortlessly, it’s actually carefully planned and meticulously drawn by hand. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to develop one-of-a-kind Freestyle Script lettering through a clear, repeatable step-by-step process. We’ll cover how to construct connected letterforms, arrange them in rhythmic compositions, and modify their contours to create unique and compelling lettering. You’ll also experiment with a range of common writing tools to produce endless variations of Freestyle Script.
This info-packed class combines detailed presentations with interactive drawing demos. You'll also receive a FREE 38-page illustrated guidebook packed with essential drawing techniques and loads of real-world examples. You can also add the bonus 28-page workbook for extra instruction and practice. Whether you’re a beginner eager to expand your skills or an experienced artist interested in bringing something new to your professional work, this class will provide you with the techniques and know-how you need to create truly distinctive Freestyle Script lettering.
