Freelancing is quite advantageous and favored by many developers and designers however it can also be very challenging. Finding customers and creating a balance between your personal and work life can often be a burden. As a freelancer with no one looking over your shoulder, you need to learn how to be your own boss. Aside from that, adapting to project-based working culture and coordination between developers and designers is significant to co-create a successful product. On 28th June at 16:00 Begüm Bahçecik, a multidisciplinary designer and Feras Allaou, a backend engineer will join us in our next community event in a panel to discuss these kinds of challenges faced by freelancers and how to overcome them. About the panelists:<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/begumbahcecik/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Begüm Bahçecik</a> - Multidisciplinary DesignerBegüm is an independent art director and designer who creates visual personalities and ecosystems for ideas and visions. Collaborated with various startups, local and global brands from different industries in the past including Apple, BMW, IKEA, Türk Telekom and Istanbul Modern. Currently she is based in London and working on various<a href="https://www.begumbahcecik.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> freelance projects</a> from branding to digital design.<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/ferasallaou/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Feras Allaou</a> - Backend EngineerGraduated with a bachelor (hons) of science in Mobile Computing, Feras has been doing web development since 2004 using LAMP Stack. Since 2016, Feras moved into building APIs and Microservices using modern technologies such as NodeJS, MongoDB &amp; Serverless Arch, in addition to Mobile Development using Swift 4 for iOS &amp; React Native, and had the chance to work with multiple agencies across USA &amp; Canada, in addition to be a Lead Engineer in A Startup in Turkey.*The panel operates within the framework of “PEP - Promotion of Economic Prospects” which is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in cooperation with Re:Coded &amp; Impact Hub Istanbul.*The event will be held in English*The link to attend the event will be sent within a few days after completing your registration.
