The Foundry

Each week, we will get together to learn different ways to design your own knitwear using leftover yarn. I will lead the class, demonstrating how to create a color palette and intarsia colorwork. The class will focus on using scrap yarn and zero waste in making clothing. Each week we will get together to develop our own designs with the intention of having a finished garment by the end of the course. This course targets the need for using the materials that we have within the cultural context of over-consumption. Basic knowledge of knitting stitches is required. Bring any scrap yarn and needles you have, and paper and pen to write with. I will provide some yarn and knitting needles Drop in each class or sign up for all 7 classes!Not meeting on July 17!
