Free Workshop: Learn Inkscape + Make Your First Open Source Contribution

The Fedora Design Team is the open, community-based team that does graphic and UX design for Fedora, the open source Linux operating system. Fedora Design Team members are all over the world and they use free and open source software (like Inkscape, or Gimp) to do design work for free and open source software projects.

This event is a great way to learn some basic computer graphic design skills as well as make your very first contribution to an open source project. Bring a laptop (Windows, Mac, or Linux)! 
We'll start off by holding an Inkscape "install fest" to help  you get <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://inkscape.org" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Inkscape</A> installed on your computer. 
Next, we'll run a workshop to show you how to use the free and open source graphics program, <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://inkscape.org" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Inkscape</A>, to create artwork.
Finally, we'll help you find a badge to design for the open source <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://badges.fedoraproject.org" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Fedora Badges project</A>, help you get a contributor's account, and make your first open source project contribution!
Expect a laid-back, fun, workshop experience with multiple teachers from the Fedora Design Team from all over the world!
