Tire Collection Event – Free for Kitsap Households
The Kitsap County Solid Waste Division is hosting a free waste tire collection event in partnership with the Washington Department of Ecology. This event is for households only. No businesses or organizations.
When:
Monday, June 9 & Tuesday, June 10, 2025
2 p.m. – 6 p.m. both days
Businesses and organizations should hire a licensed tire carrier to manage their waste tires.No businesses or organizations. Funding became available in late April 2025 with the need to spend funds by June 30, 2025.
Where:
Kitsap County Fairgrounds – Thunderbird Arena
1275 Fairgrounds Rd. NW, Bremerton, WA 98311
What’s accepted:
- Up to 15 tires per household
- Tires from cars, light trucks, motorcycles, lawn mowers, wheelbarrows
- Tires with or without rims
What’s not accepted:
- No commercial or tractor tires. These will be turned away.
- No business or organization drop-offs (hire a licensed tire hauler instead)
Before you go:
- Bring helpers to unload your items from your vehicle. Visitors must unload their own items onto the ground without staff assistance.
- Bathrooms are not available at this event.
- Secure your vehicle load for safer roads with cargo straps, tarps, and nets. It's the law, and the right thing to do.
