Instructor Bio:
The Greater New York City – Black Nurses Association, Inc. (GNYC-BNA) was founded out of a need for a progressive and innovative chapter in New York City. Our journey began on October 11, 2017, with our first official formation meeting at the Manhattan campus of the New York Institute of Technology. Just a year later, on August 2, 2018, we proudly received our official national charter at the 46th National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) Institute and Conference in St. Louis, MO. With 56 founding members, we became the largest of the 18 new chapters chartered that year—marking a historic milestone in the NBNA’s legacy of advocacy and service. Guided by our chapter motto, "FOR THE GREATER GOOD," we are committed to making a positive impact on the communities where we live, work, and play through education, outreach, and service.
