Easy jog from 6:15-6:45AM. Drills and form analysis from 6:45-7:15AM

6:15 AM - 7:15 AM

June 6: Aerobic Track Session


Warmup from 6:15-6:30AM. Track Session from 6:30-7:00AM. Cooldown from 7:00-7:15AM.

7:00 AM - 9:00 AM

June 8: Tyler State Park Long Run


For the first 45-75 minutes athletes will be jogging easy depending on current long run distance. When athletes are done they will reconvene at the Lake where donuts will be provided, water, and also...

June 8 (7AM-9AM): Tyler State Park Long Run

Athletes will need to bring $6 for the entrance fee to Tyler State Park on June 8th.

Water will be provided on each day. Donuts will be provided after the run on June 8

Every attempt will be made to keep the runners together and the route will be clearly defined; however, in the case of emergency athletes are encouraged to bring their cell phones with them on runs.

Runners are encouraged to notify their parents of their estimated time of completing their run if they are not able to drive themselves. Parents are responsible for picking their kid(s) up at the end of the sessions.

*Eligibility: Must run long distance track (800m or further) or cross country for your school. Must be able to run 3 miles or further.

What can my athlete expect from the sessions?

  • Free Run Tyler Water Bottle
  • Run Sessions with Coach RJ and other runners from Tyler and surrounding areas (7th-12th grade)
  • Guidance and encouragement from a professional coach, RJ Cowan (15 years Coaching Experience and a M.S. in Kinesiology)
  • Form drills and basic analysis
  • Sport nutrition guidance
  • Running tips and answers to running questions
