[Free] ROSE - Reach Out, Stay strong: Essentials for mothers of newborns

Free four-week program that helps lower the risk of postpartum depression. This program takes place during pregnancy.

ARE YOU PREGNANT? REACH OUT, STAY STRONG!

This program provides tips on how to take care of yourself while pregnant, and feel your best after the baby is born. In just four sessions, you’ll learn to:

  • Avoid postpartum depression and “the baby blues”
  • Communicate what you need
  • Manage stress
  • Practice self-care


The next cycle of class will begin in February. Additional class cycle start dates are listed for those with later estimated due dates.

Healthy Start Brooklyn: Providing a variety of support programs and classes for expectant and new parents who live in central and eastern Brooklyn. You can get education and support about pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, breastfeeding, fatherhood, Family Foundations, and healthy living.

NYC DOHMH Family Wellness Suite: A safe, welcoming and supportive space for women and their families to connect to community resources and city agency services for support. Visitors can get help avoiding eviction, enrolling in health insurance and finding a job.
