What is CS4CH?

Creating Space 4 Creative Healing Inc (CS4CH Inc) is FREE Poetry Writing Workshop and Open Mic held every 4th Monday of the month at Legler Regional Library. Hosted by Founder of CS4CH Inc, Spoken Word Artist and Self-published Author of About That Time poetry book, Audacious Don.

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Creating Space 4 Creative Healing also known as CS4CH is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supplies helpful worksheets, unique writing materials, creative interactive verbal games during the free poetry writing workshop. There's a NEW THEME every month (SEE BELOW). Afterwards, we close out with an innovative platform for poets and spoken word artists during open mic.

ABOUT THE HOST:

Creating Space 4 Creative Healing Inc is a nonprofit organization that focuses on inner healing through art & therapy. Before CS4CH Inc was established, spoken word artist and self-published author Audacious Don recognized the stigmas, lack of resources, and misinformation about mental health in the community. She experienced her own mental illness misdiagnosis, and tried numerous therapists, including group therapy. During this time, she previously struggled with severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD. However, through personal growth and spiritual development, she realized there are many in the community of all ages, backgrounds, and ethnicity who could benefit from the helpful therapeutic tools and resources she acquired over the years. As a spoken word artist, writing poetry has been an escape, self-reflection, and means to put thought-provoking ideas to paper. “It was an excellent coping mechanism my mother introduced me to since elementary school,” Audacious Don exclaimed. “Being bullied at a young age opened the door to a creativity I never knew I had.”
