Liberatory Design Community of Practice Overview

Join us for a follow-up session to deepen your understanding and practice in using a Liberatory Design approach to address complex equity challenges in your system.

The Liberatory Design Community of Practice will provide opportunities to:

  • Deepen your knowledge and understanding of the Liberatory Design mindsets and modes in practice
  • Reflect on your work of applying this approach to better understand and address equity challenges in your context
  • Make connections with new colleagues, and leave with new ideas for applying this approach in practice as you address equity challenges in your context

This session will be delivered in a live, 3-hour interactive learning session conducted online in Zoom. Attend the live session with facilitators and fellow participants and gain new knowledge and skills to bring back to your own context. Participants receive electronic versions of all resources and tools.

We are intensely focused on humanizing our virtual spaces. We focus on interactivity and connection (these workshops are not webinars), frequent screen and body breaks, and attending to learning, practice, and healing in community with people around the world.

Pre-requisite

Participants must have previously participated in the National Equity Project’s Liberatory Design for Equity Course.

Accessibility

We provide an advance draft of our slide deck 24 hours before the session and enable live transcription and closed captions during the live Zoom session. Our sessions are recorded (absent any technical difficulties) and can be accessed for up to 30 days after the course concludes.
