Join us for an Introduction to Disaster Readiness Preparedness training. Being prepared can reduce fear, anxiety, and losses that accompany disasters. Communities, families, and individuals should know what to do in the event of a fire, earthquake, flood, or other disasters and where to seek help. Be ready to become self-sufficient for 72 hours.


In this introductory class, you will learn about the following:


* Know your hazards

* Emergency alerts

* Radio stations

* Out-of-town contacts

* Go Bag

* Stay Box

* Connecting with neighbors


We will also have a guest speaker from the Center for Independent Living Center of San Francisco who will answer questions about how best to help the elderly and the disabled.


Additional classes will be offered at the church in the future on First Aid, CPR, assembling kits, and coordinated neighborhood emergency response in the future.

No. This training is open to everyone. We welcome you!

What does parking look like?

There is plenty of free street parking on the streets surrounding the church.

Is the church close to public transportation?

Yes! The church is located from 3 major stops: 1)1 block from the K MUNI Line stop at Junipero Serra and Ocean Ave, 2)1 block from the 57 MUNI Bus Stop on Junipero Serra, and 3) 3 blocks from the M MUNI Line stop at Ocean Avenue.

Yes. This is the introduction class and we will schedule more soon.

Where exactly is the training/event located?

Our training will be located in the Parish Hall. Come through the gates of the church and within the court yard, you will see signs for the Parish Hall.
