In-Person: Either held at the Brownsville Neighborhood Health Action Center - 259 Bristol Street Brooklyn, NY 11212 or the Bedford Health Center - 485 Throop Ave Brooklyn, NY 11221


The next 2-part Newborn Care class will be held on Thursday, April 18 and Thursday, April 25. By signing up for the date listed, you are automatically enrolled in both parts of the class.


Upcoming dates for this class are listed on Eventbrite. If you have a later estimated due date, you may sign up for these dates in advance.

This class will teach baby basics, bonding and attachment, adjusting to your newborn, and what to expect after the newborn period.

  • This is an in-person class held at the Brownsville Neighborhood Health Action Center (address above)
  • FREE gift included after class is completed
  • Directions and additional details will be provided via email after registration
  • Class will not be recorded or offered in a hybrid virtual format at this time

Healthy Start Brooklyn: Providing a variety of support programs and classes for expectant and new parents who live in Brooklyn. You can get education and support about pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, breastfeeding, fatherhood and healthy living.

NYC DOHMH Family Wellness Suite: A safe, welcoming and supportive space for women and their families to connect to community resources and city agency services for support. Visitors can get help avoiding eviction, enrolling in health insurance and finding a job.
