Other symptoms may include: <ul><li>A bulge on either side of your pubic bone, which may become more visible when standing, coughing or straining</li><li>A burning or aching sensation at the hernia site </li><li>A feeling of heaviness or weakness in your groin</li><li>Severe pain in your abdomen</li><li>Outward bulging of skin or tissues in your abdominal area</li><li>Nausea</li><li>Sudden pain that quickly gets worse</li><li>Hernia bulge turns red, purple or dark</li><li>Nausea, vomiting or both</li><li>Fever</li><li>You have an inability to move your bowels or pass gas</li></ul>If you think you might have a groin or abdominal hernia, find out at a free hernia screening on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.General surgeons will present a brief overview about hernias and their treatment and then provide a free quick exam to determine your next steps.You can also &quot;test drive&quot; the surgical robot often used to perform hernia surgeries.PLEASE NOTE: SPACE IS LIMITED. YOU MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE. WALK-INS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. PATIENTS MUST BE AGE 18 OR OLDER.
