Big Couch is a New Orleans-based enterprise that focuses on performing and facilitating creativity. Rooted in the “yes, and” philosophy of improv, Big Couch contributes high-quality, innovative shows and workshops for a wide variety of creative and comedic endeavors.

Just because improv is unscripted, doesn’t mean you can’t practice it! We welcome improvisers of all levels to join us weekly to hone their improv skills, learn new ones, and connect with fun folks. An improv jam is an opportunity for anyone to perform and watch scenes. You can have an awesome time while developing your ability and observing others use theirs.Improv Jams consist of one-hour sessions on Saturdays from 1 pm to 2 pm at Big Couch - 1045 Desire St.All jams are free, and registration is recommended.We strongly encourage participation; however, those curious about improv that just want to observe are welcome to do so!
