About this event

LONDON FESTIVAL OF ARCHITECTURE 2024

No experience needed, all abilities welcomed.

As part of the one-day exhibition 'Caving outwards: Reimagining playful co-existence', audiences are invited to take part in a Creative Collage Workshop. The workshop will repurpose materials and re-imagine their uses in order to create unique pieces that relate to the participants' own personal experiences of the topic of 'cave' – spaces historically characterised as dark, foreboding, and isolated. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to take home your collage creations!

This innovative collaborative exhibition breaths new life into the age-old concept of 'cave'. With a keen focus on reinventing materials and unleashing boundless creativity, it explores communal spaces, delving into the intricate interplay between our humanity and these environments.

You will be guided through a practical session following creative collaging techniques to reflect on creative ways of living and interacting with others by emphasising inward reflection on personal 'caves' followed by outward venturing into mutually enjoyable social relationships.

The multidisciplinary collection of works is curated to inspire you to reimagine interspaces where personal identity intersects with collective experiences, seeking to forge meaningful connections that knit our community tighter and deepen our bond with the world around us.

Please note the workshop capacity is maximum 12 participants, please book yourself a ticket ahead of the workshop time. Tickets are free of charge.
