Description:

This fast-paced interactive seminar is designed to help counseling and mental health professionals of all types sort out the many, and often confusing, laws, rules, and codes of ethics. Participants will learn how to navigate any ethical or legal situations through the use of Dr. Casey's Multiple Perspective Model. This decision-making model is applied to a variety of interesting clinical vignettes during small and large group discussions. This seminar provides an engaging learning experience that equips participants with practical knowledge and tools they can immediately begin using.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the training participants will . . .

  1. Identify and describe the five primary perspectives of the Multiple Perspective Model© of ethical decision-making.
  2. Discuss how to understand and navigate professional codes of ethics, federal and state laws, and licensing regulations.
  3. Determine ethical and legal courses of action for vignettes through the use of the Multiple Perspective Model.
