Comission Crisis - Procurring Cause

Learn how procuring cause impacts transactions, including how the concept is misunderstood generally in real estate. You will be exposed to both hypothetical and real world examples of transactions in which procuring cause disputes arose and how brokers, agents, and clients were impacted. Lastly you will learn what the Nevada courts have determined with respect to procuring cause and how brokers and agents can protect themselves from liability or loss of compensation.

FOR ZOOM PARTICIPANTS (IMPORTANT!!!)

The policies of the Nevada Real Estate Division regarding participation in CE classes via Zoom are very clear and particular. The instructors must be able to verify your sincere participation. We have worked hard to get high quality and un-mundane classes approved by the Division, and we ask that you participate and contribute to the learning experience.

Pursuant to these goals, we will require the following from ALL participants:

  1. Your camera must be on for the entire duration of the class (including breaks).
  1. You must be centered in the frame from your shoulder line to the top of your head, and you must be facing the camera. Your apparel and lighting must allow the instructors to clearly see your face and facial expressions. A backlit silhouette will not qualify.
  1. You must be seated in a stationary location. Participants who are laying down, not paying attention, or in a moving vehicle will be removed. You may not be participating in other activities that will take your attention from the class content, including (but not limited to) office work, checking your phone/tablet, taking calls, projects, walking, running, exercising, driving, checking social media, or watching other content.
  1. We will confirm your attendance at the beginning and ending of class and after each break.
  1. Our CE classes are very interactive. They are not conducive to passive participation. Please be ready to fully engage.

Any participants violating any of these policies will be removed from the class.

Zoom credentials will be provided via email prior to the class start time.
