We have an excess amount of well loved and overstock books for kids and adult readers. Please sign up to come to our Brooklyn Navy Yard Book Hub to take as many books as you can carry.

*We are unable to accommodate anyone under age 10 in this space. If you want to bring your children under age 10, please join us at a different event.

Who: Anyone over age 10

What: Select well-loved and overstock books for kids from the Book Hub

When: Saturday, June 15, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Where: The Brooklyn Book Bodega Book Hub - 141 Flushing Ave, Suite 407

Why: To increase literacy, encourage reuse, and increase book ownership. Having easy access to books that you or your community wants to read will help develop lifelong readers. Reading is transformational – with an impact on educational advancement, financial attainment, and mental health.

After: Once you have received your books, please complete our impact survey (it will be sent to you shortly after the event).Please click "register" to sign up for a 45 minute appointment to pick out books at our facility at Brooklyn Navy Yard, 141 Flushing Avenue.

During your 45 minutes, you will be able to select as many books as you can carry (approximately 100 books) from the varied selection of (used, like new, well-loved, child, YA, and adult) books that we have for this giveaway. Please bring your own bag or luggage to take them with you. (If you will have someone join you to help, please select a ticket for them as well during the registration process.)

Although our books are free, Brooklyn Book Bodega operates on a slim budget. Please consider making a donation to help support our operational costs.
