Parrott-Wood Memorial Library Receives $3,000 2027 TOP Grant

Parrott-Wood Memorial Library (3133 W. AJ. Hwy. Strawberry Plains, TN, 37871) is pleased to announce that it has received a 2027 TOP Grant in the amount of $3,000. These grant funds will allow the library to offer free basic computer classes to the public, providing community members with much-needed technology skills and greater confidence in using computers.

The classes will be taught by Bob Ebel, an experienced Information Technology consultant with more than 35 years of experience in the computer industry.

Mr. Ebel's extensive background includes working as a training instructor teaching Microsoft Office product, as well as classroom experience providing instruction in information technology, nursing, and computer applications.

Throughout his career, Mr. Ebel has worked in the healthcare, manufacturing, and sales industries, serving in a variety of roles including analyst, programmer, product owner, and project manager. His diverse professional experience gives him a broad understanding of both technology and the needs of individuals learning new computer skills.

Parrott-Wood Memorial Library is excited to use the TOP Grant to help members of the community develop essential computer skills. These free classes will provide an opportunity for participants to learn in a supportive classroom environment and gain practical technology skills that can be useful at home, at work, and in everyday life.
