Comfort &amp; Joy’s Art Collective is proud to present the 4th Season of the Freak Chic Runway Fashion Show.Pride month is upon us...get it started right with a freaky fun night of community, spectacle, performance and style at the Freak Chic Pride Gala. This year we&#x27;re moving on up: we&#x27;ll be serving up cheeky chic runway realness at <a href="https://www.sfoasis.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">OASIS</a>!We kick off at 5pm with an hour for you to shop the stylish wares of local queer and allied artists + fashionistas at the Fashion Bazaar. From bespoke face coverings by <a href="https://www.byrdbeaks.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Byrd Beaks</a> to bespoke chest pieces by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/dolt.lol/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">DOLT</a> and perfectly over-the-top sleeves and hats by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/ismaelacostadesigns/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ismael Acosta Designs</a>, you’ll find everything from the new necessary to the timelessly extra — all hand-crafted by local queerdos. Take in live jazz by chanteuse <a href="https://www.mariakonner.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Maria Konner</a> while you shop…maybe she’ll even autograph a copy of <a href="https://www.mariakonner.com/new-book" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">her new book</a> for you afterward!Visit our Pop-up Drag Closet to enhance your look with temporary tattoos, glittery body art and *juuuust a little* more makeup...then, make sure you memorialize the ferociously proud lewk you’ve manifested with a professional fashion shot from <a href="https://www.photobydot.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">PhotoByDot</a>!

The Rooftop will be open for all styles, under the sun - ticket price includes nibbles from the rooftop catering cohort if you want to nosh, and bars will be open if you&#x27;d like to buy somebody a drink (wink wink). Should the sun bless us with her appearance, so will a day-party DJ set from the one and only <a href="https://soundcloud.com/jasongodfrey" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jason Godfrey</a>! Make sure you purchase raffle tickets while you soak up rays if you want in on fabulous art and wearable fashion prizes.

After the Show, Freak the Funway is your chance to show off your fierce look: spectator becomes performer, community becomes stage, space is held for all...then we invite you to let your hair down, put on your comfy shoes and make your body move to DJ <a href="https://soundcloud.com/itsissa" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ISSA</a>’s beats at our dance party (feat. eye-candy projection mapping by <a href="https://candj-artcollective.blogspot.com/2020/10/blue-resident-artist.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">V.Blue</a>).If you want to help us hold space for queer + allied artists working in the most expensive City in the country, think about buying a Style Superstar ticket - you will receive a luxe gift bag filled with fashionably fun extras...and the satisfaction of directly supporting the over 75 designers, performers and artists that make this event happen: *SO* much to take Pride in!This kiki will feature *YOUR* fashion too…please dress to impress!
